Youth and young adults 5-25 and their families.
Stars Community Services is part of Stars Behavioral Health Group (SBHG), which has programs throughout 6 California counties. In line with SBHG’s motto of Partnering with People for Positive Change, Stars provides behavioral health services, including therapy and rehabilitation (skill development) and case management to children ages 5-17, young adults ages 18-25, and families in partnership with BHCS and partner agencies. Services are provided both onsite and in various community settings (e.g., home, school, etc.). We use a team approach to ensure our clients and families receive the appropriate level and types of services and to foster a supportive learning environment for our team members.
Monday-Friday 9-5. We will provide enough hours to meet the expectations of the placing program.
Preferred Discipline / Experience:
Prefer candidates with at least 6 months of experience working with children, adolescents, and/or young adults in a behavioral health setting.
First or Second Year Students:
Second year students preferred
Supervision & Training:
A week-long orientation is provided at the onset of placement and more in-depth, program-specific clinical training is provided throughout placement. Interns are invited to participate in all trainings in which permanent clinical staff participate. We provide enough Clinical Supervision to allow for all clinical hours to be counted.
